Norinco 84S in 5.56x45
This
is a real nice example of a pre-ban AKM Stamped AK47)in
5.56x45 (.223). This one has the Triangle 66 mark on the
trunnion and all the features that were banned not long
after this one was imported. It has the bayo lug, threaded
barrel and pistol grip.

The
Chinese AKMs are high quality and this is a fine
example of why. Solid wood, excellent metalwork and
a thick receiver all make this Norinco 84S a great
AK47 for any collector

The
receiver markings confirm this is a Norinco
model 84S in 5.56mm x45 caliber.
This Pre-Ban Norinco Model 84S was imported by CSI
in Los Angeles, CA

The
light colored solid wood handguards with the metal
sleeve where the lower handguard meets the receiver.
Also note the circular front sight shroud which encloses
the front sight post. Typical of Chinese AKs there
is a hole through the top so that a tool can be inserted
to adjust the front sight.

The
safety on and off aligns perfectly with the receiver
and receiver cover. Also note the long Selector stop
typical of most Chinese import AKs

Another Pre-Ban Norinco Model 84S is a Chinese made
semi-auto AK47 clone chambered for the .223 Remington.
It has a threaded barrel with removable flash hider,
the bayo lug and pistol grip. The stocks are a black
synthetic material
