I bought mine when I didn't have the money ($325), but I wanted one and this baby was brand new in the box. I see what they are selling for now and I'll never sell or trade mine. It was a sweeet addition to my collection! A real attention grabber when I take it to the range. It is FUN to shoot. |
| Pros: |
Low recoil, easy to conceal, fun as heck to fire, accurate, fires any type of 223 ammo! |
| Cons: |
dings spent cases |

The rifle I have is the pre ban model and at $500 this was a steal seeing what they are going for now. The ease of use of the rifle and it's accuracy makes it a pleasure to shoot. I have seen a few AK's in 7.62 out at the range that seem to pattern shots rather than group them, (don't know if this due to lousy shooting or lousy ammo) but with the 84S I have no problem getting under one inch groups at a 100yds with handloaded ammo |
| Pros: |
Very easy to shoot with very little recoil and a piece of cake to clean afterwards |
| Cons: |
The butt could be a bit longer, found the shortness of the butt a little uncomfortable at first. Also there are plenty of magazines out there for the .223 but they tend to be a bit pricier than the mags in 7.62 |

My favorite AK , accuracy suffers due to short sight radius . Minimal recoil , Nice finish as it is blued and not parkerized like most AK's . Magazines are the big problem as they are difficult to find and I don't know if other countries work I have not tried . |
| Pros: |
Ease of use , Finished properly in hot blue and not parkerized . |
| Cons: |
Short sight radius , availability of magazines . |
