I posted your review even though you didn't use a real name. I am not going to be accused of being biased
But I feel it would be a disservice not to address your points.
#1 you bought something, you were not happy and you got your money back, not a bad deal. Some places don't stand behind their work right?
#2 Visible rust? It's built in AZ in the summer, where could it develop rust? I highly doubt that pistol that was custom made and shipped to you developed rust. You may have mis-diagnosed it as rust, what is really was? who knows did you take pictures to back up your accusations? I would have it's free to do that with a digital camera, I'm sure the gun shop had a camera if you didn't.
Trigger would not return? that sounds like the hammer spring slipped off the trigger tabs. That has happened to me on a few AKs. Did you call Ewbank or Andrew to inquire about this basic AK misfire? I would assume any competent gunsmith would know this easy troubleshoot for the AK.
Your advice is noted but I own one of these myself, I have posted pics of it and video of us shooting it. We are well over 1000 rounds through it and it's still a champ.
We did replace the hammer pin retaining spring, because I prefer E clips but that’s the only modification I made
These are not something that was ever intended, it is as much a creative work of art as it is a pistol. Sorry you didn't like it I'm sure the person it ends up with will enjoy it more than you would have anyway.

Bought one sight unseen from Arms of America. UPS delivered the unit while I was at my gun shop. Everyone there agreed, poor workmanship. Assembly poor.Numerous incidences of visible rust inside and out. Trigger would not return on it's own when test fired. Sent the unit back to Arms of America LLC. Cost me a $100.00 for the experience. It's a crapper. My advice is to avois Arms of America and Ewbanks MFG. |
